Hikawa Shrine Festival

Annual local shrine festival kids love. Mo pulled drum float and Ton carried portable shrine. This time, they had a few friends to go around with. It was hot though not so bad. Kids had fun with snacks on breaks and play area after the festival. Photos here .

Festival time

Went to the old neighborhood for the parade. Kids both saw their friends, Mo enjoyed pulling/drumming drum car and Ton carrying portable shrine. They got snacks at each break, played some games after the parade. Ton even made trade with other kids and got what she wanted. She's got skills...

Panini brunch at Bread, Espresso, &

Yearly check up today. Expected massive waiting hours, turned out, it went very quickly, finished less than 2 hours. It must be because of the typhoon weather many people cancelled coming in today. So, I went to have brunch about 3 blocks away from the hospital called Bread, Espresso, &. Their panini is good.

Break at The City Bakery, Tokyo

It was a pretty bad weather today. Typhoon, lots of rain, sometimes really stormy. Ton went to abacus class, Mo and I waited for her at The City Bakery, anticipating her to come back safe and dry. She was fine as rain stopped for a bit while she was walking back to the cafe. We just took taxi back home before it started stormy again.

Lunch with papa

Today was a day off for Mo because he went to kindergarten last Saturday. Papa called for lunch so we went to his office first, then onto Royal Host for lunch.

Playing with Tai at Tokyo American Club

Tai was in Tokyo with his mom, staying at American Club, so we went to see him again. He was on tight schedule of meeting his friends one after another, and Mo and Ton wanted to play with him some more. Oh well, we'll see him again either here or in NY.

Farmer's Market in Aoyama

Went by Farmer's Market in Aoyama before taiko practice. Kids had pizza from food truck, and Mo liked ginger ale from Brooklyn Ribbon Fries .

My watch stopped 2 days before leaving NY, and I came to replace battery at watch shop in Shibuya.
