#1 Naoya with socks  #2 Masaki frozen after eye check up. He's OK not to have surgery (yet). Follow up check up on Mon next week.  Masaki free from IV, as the blood test showed no more infection. Yay! Naoya sleeping. Drinking from bottle is very tiring.

Photos of the first time bottle feeding from yesterday  #2 Masaki sucking on his thumb  #1 Naoya sleeping  #1 Naoya sleeping #2 Masaki sleeping with his eyes open Naoya needs to practice how to breath while drinking from bottle, and it's certainly tiring his respiration was not very stable today. Oh well.  Masaki is getting better though we need to see his blood test results again tomorrow. And he's going to have follow up eye check up tomorrow so we'll see how his eyes are growing....

#1 Naoya getting hungry  Kangaroo caring Naoya  Kangaroo caring Naoya  Sleeping Naoya after bottle feeding #2 Masaki getting better Blood test showed Masaki was getting better, he actually looked much better today. Naoya tried bottle feeding for the first time, it was tiring he drunk about 20ml and the rest was fed through tube. I could hold Naoya again as cangaroo care but his respiration was dropping often so we finished early. Naoya's weight is 2638g, Masaki's 2526g.

Masaki with IV again  Kangaroo care Naoya  Yesterday was a brief visit with papa, and I thought Masaki looked a bit tired. Fair enough, his blood test showed possible infection again and Dr. put him antibiotic IV again. Poor thing, but he looked better than yesterday. Hang in there!  Naoya was doing just fine, breathing drops from time to time, though I could hold him as kangaroo care for about an hour. He was asleep mostly though was wide awake after he was put back to incubator.

Happy lunch at Pointage, Azabu Juban

I was relieved that one of my twins' eyes were not getting worse as called retinopathy of prematurity yet at today's check up, and stopped by this local bakery for a quick yet happy lunch. Yay to my baby!

#2 Masaki holding pacifier  #1 Naoya Naoya holding pacifier Follow up eye check up for Masaki this morning. Dr. said it was not getting worse so no need to have laser surgery yet, though weekly check up is a mast. What a  relief...! Since I came in early, I could help nurse wiping babies bodies and hold them while cleaning, changing, etc.

#1 Naoya sleeping  #2 Masaki sleeping  Double kangaroo care  Naoya wide awake Masaki getting hungry Both of them were doing great so I could hold them together today. Last time they were next to each other was when they were still in my tummy. It's 35 weeks and they should be ready to drink milk from their mouth soon.
