地下鉄 Originally uploaded by piroko_kuroda Christmas party at the school today. She was supposed to do a sing/dance with the class, but completely lost motivation to join and cried at the corner of the room since one of her friends smacked her head with a bell... oh well. After the party, we headed to Intercontinental Hotel for lunch by subway. She was happy with her ice cream, and after witnessing what her dad did for his, she now learned the ice cream with colorful sprinkles on top is even better. Said good by to her dad, took her to my work for about 3 hours so that I could finish some urgent businesses, and took taxi back home. She fell asleep in about 3 mint, and had long/late nap until 6:30 p.m.

ハロウィーン Originally uploaded by piroko_kuroda She chose this outfit by herself the other day. Halloween party at school in the morning. She was dressed up in a pumpkin suite, which she managed to wear for about 10 min ... Too many people dressed up some wired stuff and she was scared and didn't want to be in the same room with those people! Couldn't help it: it was her very first Halloween party. In the afternoon, took her to my work and did some trick or treat there while her mom was working. On the way home, she was so exhausted she took very late nap from 5 to 7.

帽子 Originally uploaded by piroko_kuroda Got a new mobile: NM706i. My debut to FOMA. It doesn’t have much functions but that’s fine with me. All I need is phone and e-mail. So, we went out in the afternoon to Ginza, since Tonchan somehow repeated Ginza many times, guessing she wanted to go there. And here’s my test photo shot of two of them wearing the same cap at UNIQLO.

It was very strange to see my parents on NHK this morning. They were at the apple orchard that my mom has been one of the owners of the apple tree there for 28 years! It was about 5 min long, and both of them were picking the apples from the tree, tasting it, etc. Narration ended that they want their soon-to-be-2-years-old grand child to join the apple picking…! I called them in the evening, since their phone was busy since the TV show ended, imagined that many people called them. My dad was surprised to receive calls from not-so-close-friends and even his clients that they watched the show. They’re timely celebrity in the home town.

She didn’t have lunch with us, running around or being outside for the entire time, probably being shy with the other relatives she has met only a few times. Back home, we had left over for dinner and she picked only shrimps from the shushi.

Got a call from the school this morning about 30 min later I left Tonchan, that she had rash all over her neck and were coming up to behind her ears and head. So, I left work to pick her up. Went to Dr immediately, and was told that she had exanthem subitum/roseola infantum. Now it explains why she's been grumpy for the past a few days. She had fever over the weekend, and got better on Mon, though she's been grumpy and didn't sleep well at night. Now she got another antibody.

These sea animal stickers are from the aquarium they went the day before. According to the school, she behaved very well: sit still to watch the dolphins, didn’t make noise, etc. Amazing. Is she really her dad’s daughter?

Had chance to get on a crowded commuter subway the other day. I saw a young woman in black suit, so called recruiting suit on the train. She looked like she was cramped in that outfit: her hair was very long and sort of wavy, rather grunge look, and her make up was, kind of gaudy. Obviously everything didn’t match. I wonder if she was going to work or going to interview judging from the suit. Did she think it would be OK as long as she was in the “recruiting suit” like everybody else looking for job? Or simply she didn’t know how to tone down her make up…? Or to take more matching suit…?

It happened around 10 p.m. last night. SECOM security system alarm started going off. It wasn’t the sign of break ins, but machine error. I hit a button and the alarm stopped, then SECOM called, telling me some radio wave interrupted their system, and wanted to come in for check up. A guy showed up in 5 min. He opened the main system box, check here and there, beep and peep, turned on and off breaker, check each electric appliance’s radiation, for about 2 hours. He determined it was the light ball closest to the main system box. So, we shouldn’t turn on that light. OK. I thought it was all resolved. Then he said to me that he had to re condition the entire system, the each box allocated in each room, and small magnets attached to the all windows. Well, you can’t just abort, can you? Another good 1 hour, he opened the box and beep and peep again, keys and tools rattling, sometimes right next to Tonchan who was asleep, which made me chewing my fingernails that he might wake her up. トウモロコシ Originally uploaded by piroko_kuroda Bought various foods at Azabu Juban Festival this afternoon: fried noodles, beef on a stick, mini bamboo shoot, meatball on a stick, steamed corn, my favorite sweetfish, etc. She tried the corn for the very first time and seemed liked it.
