Hiroko's Hitokoto

Annual tradition of hitting the big bell hanging at a temple on New Year's Eve. Went to a temple run by a family of Riku's friend from elementary school before midnight. It wasn't cold at all, Corrine, Emi, and Maiya joined us, though Koji was sick he stayed home.  Riku was happy seeing some of his friends from elementary school, some of the neighbor friends were there, too. Had AMAZAKE, fermented rice drink, as a return of hitting the bell from the temple. Happy New Year!

　泉岳寺 義士祭。パレードの義士行列を見ようとすごい人だかりを横目に、 境内をぐるっと。お線香を買ったり、焼きそばやらたこ焼きやら、 銀杏やら七味などの屋台を眺めつつ、それなりの賑わい。 義士の墓前に参拝する人の列もそれほど長くなく、 若い世代は知らない人の方が多いのでしょう。 境内では肉やイカを焼いて、殺生してるし、 赤穂のお酒も売ってるし、 首をとった記念日にお祭りをしていると、 客観的に見るとなんともシュール。 Naoya with udon Masaki with chicken steak Happy Masaki with chocolate banana Naoya with a blue chocolate banana People lining up for offering incense to the samurai of 47 ronin

  母の冬休み最終日。思いついて浅草へ。まあまあ人が出ていて、おそらくレンタルのお着物だろう和装の若い子が沢山。日に当たって雪も溶けてきたけれど、日陰はまだ凍っているので足元が悪そうだけれど、お着物着るのが楽しそうで何より。今日の私は長靴だけれど、次回は和装で‥‥。お庭はまだ雪景色。鯉が元気に泳ぎ回っていました。 仲見世 Asakusa shopping street Sky Tree Sky Tree and temple gate Sensouji Temple Snow in the garden Carps
