It was very strange to see my parents on NHK this morning. They were at the apple orchard that my mom has been one of the owners of the apple tree there for 28 years! It was about 5 min long, and both of them were picking the apples from the tree, tasting it, etc. Narration ended that they want their soon-to-be-2-years-old grand child to join the apple picking…!
I called them in the evening, since their phone was busy since the TV show ended, imagined that many people called them. My dad was surprised to receive calls from not-so-close-friends and even his clients that they watched the show. They’re timely celebrity in the home town.
