Break at City Bakery

Went to soroban (abacus) class but it was closed, so decided to go have a break at City Bakery all together. Ton had French toast, Mo had a fresh orange juice.

Upstairs of Mercedes in Midtown has Garrett Popcorn cafe, and we had a break there, escaping from the heat. Here you don't have to line up for hours like the others do in Harajuku....

Roland and Lisa came over for dinner, and brought her this sugar doughnuts with Frozen picture on. Oh she was very happy.

Ended the day with gerato at Gelateria Marghera, Azabu Juban. Oh kids had hard time settling down...

Dinner with Akitoshi

A friend of mine asked for a dinner with her son this evening, we met up with Akitoshi and his mom at Lauderdale, Roppongi Hills. Kids couldn't play together very much, though we all had fun and enjoyed good food!

Cakes from Mornington Crescent

 Lemon meringue pie for boy.  Lemon meringue pie and Victoria cake for girl. Carrot cake for papa. We went to check out Mornington Crescent this morning. This bakery opens once a month for regular sale, as it's main business is catering and baking classes. So, when we get there, already a long line of people ahead of us. Ended up waiting more than an hour, we managed to get some cakes for there to eat, and more to take back home for later. Kids managed waiting fine, and they enjoyed their own selection of sweets as for their lunch. And, the cakes are great, awesome homemade cakes!!

Kids' karaoke dinner

Met up with 2 other moms we've met at the hospital at birth of Ton for Karaoke dinner with kids. Oh the girls loved singing, off course, songs from Frozen. Boys, well, not very happy with loud sound, though they had fun eating and dancing. Moms couldn't talk very much though it was great for kids. Ton told me it was her first karaoke, and was very fun. Maybe we'll do it again...? Photos here .

Movie time

Went to a Ghibli movie " When Marnie Was There" with Ton. She was happy with popcorn, though when it started, she left for bathroom and stayed there for more than 30 min. She was scared to watch the movie so it was the boycott. Anyhow, drugged her out of bathroom, made her seated with popcorn. And she made it through to the end. Small progress...?

Dinner with Evan

Brought back lots of veggies, we cooked them and had Evan coming over for dinner. Made lots of pumpkin croquettes with pumpkin from Jiji&Baba's farm. Ton ate only the outside of it, though came out pretty good. We might see you again, Evan in East Coast...?

Green tea ice cream break

Too hot to stay in the outside, we went to a green tea shop and kids had green tea ice cream. Yum!

Indian curry lunch

Since school and kindergarten were closed due to typhoon, we went to a book store so that Ton can finish her homework, then moved onto lunch at Roppongi Hills.

Today's lunch of grilled miso marinated chicken, sashimi (yellow tail), egg plant, rice and miso soup. Delicious! Thank you, Hashimoto san for complimentary dessert, and a little gift!

Bread from Viron

Watching a TV show with good French bread shops in Tokyo, Mo decided to have baguette from Viron in Shibuya. We walked from the station to this bread shop in rain, and bought ham&cheese sandwich, rillette sandwich, chocolate croissant, and crorissant aux amandes. Yam!
