As kids were at jiji'&baba's, apartment was not ready yet, we decided to take a one-night stay trip to Kyoto. Started breakfast at City Bakery at Shinagawa station before our shinkansen, which was packed off course during the golden week. We made it to Kyoto around lunch, and we headed straight to a restaurant called Hafuu. I had a chance to have their beef cutlet sandwich, and it was amazing. Since then I wanted to visit and here we were. Off course the food was great, we ate without talking at all.
Then we took bus to Kawai Kanjiro Memorial Museum. The bus went by Kiyomizu temple and the other major tourists sites in Yasaka area, and packed with tourists from all over. They weren't aggressive enough and missed their stop... oops...
The museum was quit busy, considering high season, though it had a slow, calm air flowing and we could have a relaxing time. The dimness of Japanese old houses are very meditating and relaxing.
We kept walking the area toward Kamo river, and found a hostel which has bar and cafe, too called Len. Had a little break, and headed to hotel.
And we didn't forget to buy beef cutlet sandwich for night snack!
