Azabu Juban Halloween Samp Rally
Big crowd of people with kids in costume in Azabu Juban. Papa waited in line for us while we were coming back from taiko practice. Ton found a friend from school and decided to go around with her and her sister and a friend. Kids had fun and I'm glad we could say we did Halloween!

Taiko at a volunteer event near Tokyo Tower
Ton, Mo, and myself joined and played taiko at a volunteer event organized by Hands on Tokyo. We called up Jiji for help as papa was away on business trip. Beautiful weather, Mo could played his favorite piece called "Echo of The Ocean", Ton did great job as usual, and we had other friends playing, too. We stayed after the show, and kids enjoyed petting zoo, cookie decoration, crafting, etc.

Mo's sports day at kindergarten
Under a tight guard by teachers, Mo participated his kindergarten's sports day. He's been a problem to his teachers that he wouldn't join and practice as he was supposed for a past few days. At the end, he did just fine. Being pressured by his teacher, I have been telling him that if he'd like to join the sports day he had to join the practice until the end, thinking there must be other "not well behaved" kids in the class.
Lots of volunteering by parents and families, not only from setting up to cleaning up, but also joining the race, dance, etc., and my back and arms are sore from tug of war... Anyhow, it all ended just fine, and we had a lovely weather.

Dinner with Will & Rie Yamamoto at Antici Sapori
Photos here.
Hear they were coming to Japan so made up for dinner at Antici Sapori in Hiroo. They got married a few months ago, and were in Tokyo to take care of her apartment, after visiting her family in Shizuoka. It's been more than 10 years since we'd met last. Wonderful seeing you both!
