Every year we had Ryuei & Risa staying with us while their dad works hard on New Year's food, and guests, so we usually have busy year ends/new year. But this year, it was just the family, and quiet-er.
Before the year ends, went to do the last shopping of flowers. Twins helped carrying them back home, for a little.

Dim Sum from Dunhuang, Yokohama and take out from Panda Express for dinner. We don't really celebrate Christmas though we always have Chinese food for dinner as papa's strong request. I just steamed frozen dim sum from the restaurant and fried pot stickers, which were mostly eaten by the little guys. Panda Express, chunks of leak, crunchy broccoli, sweet fried chicken, THE American Chinese food you can eat at the food court on the West Coast. This food makes papa a bit nostalgic, and he has cravings for it from time to time. So he set his mind to have this for Christmas dinner this year. As soon as today ends, everything will be rushed to the New Year in Japan which is amazing how fast they can switch. I've seen Valentine's PRs already, I can't really catch up though...

四川料理 敦煌さんの飲茶とパンダエクスプレスのファミリーセットでクリスマスディナー。うちではクリスマスは特にお祝いしないのですが、パパの強い希望で、毎年中華です。敦煌さんの飲茶は冷凍のものを予め購入しておいたので、蒸し器で温め、餃子を焼いて、小さい人達がメインに頂きました。パンダエクスプレスは、ぶった切りのネギ、ガリガリのブロッコリー、甘いソースの掛かった唐揚げ、西海岸のフードコートで食べる、まさしくアメリカンな中華。これが郷愁を誘うらしく、時々パパは強烈に食べたくなるそうなので、今年のクリスマスはこれにすると早いうちから決めていたようです。日付が変われば全てがお正月模様に変わるはず。すでにヴァレンタインの広告も出ていて、もう付いていけません‥‥

雞排（チーパイ)の素をカルディで発見。大きいのと小さいの、2種類作りました。シナモンと八角が効いてて、後から辛味が！
Found this Taiwanese fried chicken spices and made two versions of fried chicken, big and small. Rich in cinnamon and star anise, and indeed spicy!

School was closed already, nothing much to do, so we took a taxi to Midtown and walked around at the park. Not many people, which was great, and they walked a lot, too. Stopped by at Shake Shack because I needed to eat my very late lunch, and twins enjoyed ice cream and french fries.
