Buying school bags for next spring

 One of the main things to do during this stay at jiji baba was buying school bags for the boys. Naoya picked a blue one, Masaki a black and red. Thank you very much, jiji!

Minato Science Museum

Train exhibit at the museum. Small yet many interesting exhibits, and weather museum upstairs, which are all free! They have planetarium, which you pay for, which we didn't go this time. They could play TrainGo game, too.

 代々木八幡のデンマークパンのイエンセン。昔からあるパン屋さんのようで、懐かしい感じ。左上から時計回りに：

1500, mille cinquecento in Yoyogi Hachiman

 Relatively new Italian cafe and restaurant I wanted to come to for a while. I ordered delizia al limone, cannolo, and iced latte. Lemon cake was a perfect summer sweet, and cannolo’s cream was nicely blended. Dimness and music was very relaxing. I like it very much. I should come back for lunch next time.

代々木八幡のミレチンクエント。比較的新めのイタリアンカフェ&レストラン。開店直後だったので、カフェで。レモンケーキ、カノーロ、カフェラテを注文。レモンケーキは夏のお菓子。カノーロのクリームが最高。素敵なインテリアの薄暗い店内、BGMがリラックスさせてくれる。お気に入り。今度はお昼に来てみよう。

 A special menu in August. I chose fish curry to go with. Spicy and filling! Masa ordered lunch combo with chicken curry. She ordered size small for rice yet volume was decent. 

五反田のアラリヤランカ。ネルンコラバスが食べてみたくて、魚のカレーを選んで注文。カレーリーフのお茶をまず一杯。大きめのお椀に蓮の葉に乗せられて登場。辛いけれど止まらない、そしてお腹いっぱい。マサはランチセットをチキンカレーで。ご飯の量は少にしたけれど、それでも十分な量。ご馳走様でした。

Doce Espiga ドースイスピーガ

神田に来たついでに探してみる。細い路地にあって、穴場感満載。ポルトガルのお菓子は全く知識がないので、見た目で注文。左上から時計回りに：天国のベーコン、オレンジプリン＆卵プリン、リス川のそよ風、オレンジケーキ、ミモーゾ。

自宅でいただくと、なんと甘いこと！リス川のそよ風を頂いた時に、その味に覚えが。鶏卵素麺みたい。ポルトガル語で"fios de ovos"、卵の糸。

遠い昔の日本がお手本としたお菓子の味なんだろうなぁ。ご馳走様でした。

Taiwanese shaved ice @Tokyo Mamehana Kobo

 暑い中頑張って行ってまいりました淡路町の東京豆花工房さん。いつもは豆花なのだけれど、今日水曜日は八寶氷の日。トッピングは12種類、もちろん全部盛りで。

・花生
・紫米
・燕麦ココナッツ煮
・白玉
・白木耳
・ハト麦
・蜜芋
・粉粿（フングェ）
プチプチと食感楽しく、蜜芋、粉粿は多分初めて。燕麦はオートミールのことらしく、なるほどの食感。また豆花いただきに寄りましょう。ご馳走様でした。

珈琲専門店エースののりトースト

 懐かしい味、子供の頃食べていた海苔の佃煮のトーストだ！BGMの流れていない店内は昭和な感じ。アイスコーヒーが甘いのもなんだか懐かしい。近所のご高齢の方が涼みにいらしているのかと思ったら、もう少し若い女性のグループもいらして、それなりに有名のよう。ご馳走様でした！

Shaved ice at Mana Mahalo, Hiroo

 Too hot we needed to cool down on the way home, and found a flag says shaved ice. They use natural ice for the shaved ice, and it was so soft, melting quickly and we had to quickly, too!
