Maison Kayser Takanawa closing at the end of Jan. Bought quite a lot before the closure. This used to be the place where I bought croissants back in the day. They used to give out free samples, and my kids kept eating them until I finished shopping. Now we have more places that bake and sell croissants and other French bread in the area, though this was the origin of the French bakery, opened in 2001. Jambon emmental, always the best, tuna sandwich that has capers that makes a difference, revived croissant aux amandes that has their logo, croissant, and chocolate and berry pie. Farewell...
Walking around Aoyama Cemetery. It's surreal that cherry blossoms are falling and covering graveyards, and its beauty, ephemeral, tranquility, everything I don't have enough words to express. And there were white dandelions on the ground. It's very unusual in east Japan.
